Garden photography was first, and always, about color and light for Stacy
Bass. When she began her career --shooting fine art and architectural abstracts
--she was fascinated by the juxtaposition of shape and color and the way
light interacted with her subjects.
She quickly became known for the style in which she captured the "first light" in gardens around the country and her garden photographs soon appeared in many regional and national publications and in the works of private collectors. Stacy's garden photography has been honored by the Society of Professional Journalists and by the Garden Writers Association's Media awards. She continues to undertake editorial, advertising, books and fine art assignments and commissions that allow her to further explore her interest in botanical and garden photography.
